Bank Keshavarzi of Iran, increasing its Tier 1 Capital by 157%, scoops the top spot of the Banker's Highest Movers: Middle East. The Bank ranked second in the Top 25 highest Movers of the World by Tier 1 Capital.

According to PRICD report, the Iranian Bank Keshavarzi (Agriculture Bank of Iran) has moved up 314 places in the Banker Top 1000 World Banks 2018, from 910th in 2017 to 596th.

The Banker Top 1000 World Banks 2018, is based on Tier 1 capital, composing of core capital (common stock and disclosed reserves or retained earnings) which is the core measure of a bank's financial strength from a regulator's point of view. The key performance indicators and financial ratios such as the Profit on Capital, Return on Assets, BIS Capital, NPL to Total Loans, Loans to Assets, RWA to Assets and Cost to Income are also taken into account for the ranking.
